Maris Toalson

Hello! My name is Maris Toalson. I studied journalism, political science, and science communication and earned a certificate in outdoor leadership at the University of Oregon. I’m passionate about social and environmental issues and the outdoors, and I seek to make them more accessible through outdoor education, science communication, and storytelling.

Outside of the office, you can find me participating in one of my many (arguably too many) hobbies, such as skiing, climbing, backpacking, and trail running. I also enjoy spending time with my cat Rhyolite, crafting, reading, and writing prose in my notes app when I’m not climbing mountains!
