About Me

About Me

Hello! My name is Maris Toalson. I studied journalism, political science and science communication and earned a certificate in outdoor leadership at the University of Oregon. I’m passionate about social and environmental issues and the outdoors, and I seek to make these issues and the outdoors more accessible through outdoor education, science communication and storytelling.

Besides telling stories, you can find me participating in one of my many (probably too many) hobbies such as skiing, rock climbing, backpacking and more. I also enjoy crafting, reading and writing prose when I’m not climbing mountains!
